A family-run riverfront basecamp on the Naknek, built to make the trip of a lifetime feel simple.
We're uniquely situated on the Naknek River in King Salmon, the gateway to Katmai National Park and one of the world's great bear-viewing destinations. We know firsthand that traveling to Alaska can feel overwhelming, so we give you somewhere to call basecamp and all the information you need to make the trip simple and successful.
We started this journey for our guests. At our core, we've always wanted people to have a wonderful place to stay on their once-in-a-lifetime trip. Our mission is to help our guests' dreams of visiting Alaska come true, and everything that might entail.
Katmai B&B grew out of a small King Salmon fishing guide service. It began in 2018 as a single-skiff operation, built on close attention to detail and a willingness to help guests plan every piece of their trip.
After two years of growing a devoted following, the time came to expand into lodging for fishing and non-fishing guests alike, and Katmai B&B was born.
Between the guide service and the B&B, we now serve guests from around the world, helping them achieve their dreams of fishing and bear viewing in one of the most remote corners of Alaska.
USCG-captained, fly-fishing instruction, Save Bristol Bay guide ambassadors, and record-holding local knowledge, guiding guests from around the world to wild salmon and trophy rainbows.
Well-respected King Salmon locals delivering the concierge touch behind every stay, making sure guests from around the world are well taken care of from the moment they arrive.
We'd love to help make your Alaska trip real. Send your dates and we'll take it from there.
